Last week I officially put away my last piece of maturity clothes that I owned and it felt great! Until I realized I had nothing, literally nothing, to wear. Which I took as an opportunity to rebuild my closet and start fresh with my new mommy style. As I shopped around (entirely online) I was nervous, particularly regarding size and fit. I already lost all the baby weight I had gained during my pregnancy, however I knew my body was not the same even with the weight off. I tried on the only pair of pre pregnancy jeans I still had, which were a pair of mid rise rock star skinny jeans from Old Navy, which were my go to prior to being pregnant and to my surprise they fit well! Except for the latest addition to my mommy body, the tummy pooch. However, I didn’t let that slow me down and took it as a starting point in reference to what size and style would work best for me now.
My closet prior to getting pregnant was very “Office appropriate” because I was working as an accountant. Most of that clothes I passed on to my sisters, since they as well work in an office setting, which left me with a blank canvas. I’m now going for stay-at-home-mommy chic and effortless look, at least that’s what I’m calling the vibe lol.

The saying ” look good, feel good” is very true for me, so I focused on purchasing key pieces that I could mix and match for my new mommy responsibilities. One of my go to looks that automatically gives me a boost of confidence, makes me feel put together and is functional for keeping up with my baby, is a pair of high waist jeans and a tank top tucked in with a pair of buckle sandals. I also layer a few dainty necklaces and of course cinch my waist with a belt, and that’s what I call my everyday uniform.
Everything pictured above is what I now have in my closet and completely am in love with! Alot of the items are on sale so I’ll link whatever I can so you can enjoy these pieces too.
I actually look forward to opening up my closet and getting creative with my outfit for the day. What piece of clothing or accessory do you wear that instantly makes you feel like the baddest b*tch around? I want to know, comment below!

I’ve lost track of what day of the week it is and how long we’ve been in quarantine. Story of our lives, right now.
I went out for the first time since The first week of March. I went into my local Target to buy some new summer clothes for Salomé since it’s heating up in Cali. I finally experienced the whole CoVid-19 pandemic- lines to get into the store, face masks on everyone, etc. To say the least it was bizarre. I can not wait for this to be over so I can safety venture into the world with my baby girl. Until then, I’m staying my ass at home.
This look was inspired by staying my ass at home but keeping it cute and trendy. Comment below what looks you want me to create.
My 40 day post partum quarantine is now over, even if it doesn’t feel like it. If your Latinx you know after giving birth you go into your Cuarentena with your baby aka stay yo’ ass home, periodt.
My cuarentena started way before the world went into quarantine, so while everyone was freaking out about being home all day every day it was nothing to me.
However it’s ironic, I was looking forward to finally dressing like myself again after my cuarentena was over and now I still can’t unless I’m trying to be hella extra sitting in the living room in a blazer lol. Oh well.
Since we’re all stuck inside until who knows when I’ll be posting more outfit Inspo, so when we can roam the streets again we have style options .
One of the latest trends that has been all over the runways and streets are the small top handle bags. Small handbags are not only chic but so practical, which you know I am all about. These bags force you to only carry the essentials such as your wallet, phone, chapstick/Lipstick and be out the door. Forget about lugging around a big ass duffle bag and give this trend a try.
These two bags pictured above I thrifted – astonishing coming from me, I know *Sarcastic Voice*.
The black bag is a Francesco Rogani, which was an amazing find. The construction of the bag is amazing, it is genuine leather with various compartments inside and has a lock and key closure. My current go-to bag until my baby girl arrives and I turn it in for a diaper bag lol.
The brown world map bag is one of my treasures from my high school thrifting days. Over the years I’ve had many bags come and go, but I could never get rid of this one. I am obsessed with the print and the craftsmanship of the bag is crazy. I wish it had a brand name on it but unfortunately it doesn’t, so for me it is one of a kind. I’ll hopefully one day get to hand it down to my daughter, so she can rock it like her momma.
