I’ve lost track of what day of the week it is and how long we’ve been in quarantine. Story of our lives, right now.
I went out for the first time since The first week of March. I went into my local Target to buy some new summer clothes for Salomé since it’s heating up in Cali. I finally experienced the whole CoVid-19 pandemic- lines to get into the store, face masks on everyone, etc. To say the least it was bizarre. I can not wait for this to be over so I can safety venture into the world with my baby girl. Until then, I’m staying my ass at home.
This look was inspired by staying my ass at home but keeping it cute and trendy. Comment below what looks you want me to create.
My 40 day post partum quarantine is now over, even if it doesn’t feel like it. If your Latinx you know after giving birth you go into your Cuarentena with your baby aka stay yo’ ass home, periodt.
My cuarentena started way before the world went into quarantine, so while everyone was freaking out about being home all day every day it was nothing to me.
However it’s ironic, I was looking forward to finally dressing like myself again after my cuarentena was over and now I still can’t unless I’m trying to be hella extra sitting in the living room in a blazer lol. Oh well.
Since we’re all stuck inside until who knows when I’ll be posting more outfit Inspo, so when we can roam the streets again we have style options .
Alright, it’s crunch time everyone! You have a few days left to get your Valentine’s Day plans together, so I’m going to jump right into my suggestions for the prefect V-day gift.
College
If you or your significant other are in college working on your future careers, money might be tight. So instead of spending on a cheesy box of chocolates and a fuzzy bear get creative and plan an experience.
Memories truly last a lifetime, so think about that special person and what she really enjoys or needs. Has she been busting her ass off studying? Then make plans for a nice outdoor picnic or hike to help de-stress from looking at a book or laptop all day.
However, if you would like to go a little further and get a gift here are some ideas. A new backpack would be great especially if your girl is always hauling a laptop and books around campus. Staying hydrated and caffeinated is necessary to keep up with the late night studying and last minute assignments. Air pods are the perfect way to keep people from distracting her from studying, it gives off a “I’m busy” vibe. Lastly, hook her up with a cool hat and save her from bad hair days.
“Ain’t No Hood Like Motherhood”
Although I can not speak on behalf of all mothers I know motherhood is one hella of a ride. I can’t wait for my baby girl to get here so I can join that wild ride. However, for the most part I’ve heard from other mothers how difficult it is to get some “me time” once you’ve started your own family. “Me time” can mean many different things for everyone, for example a self care day always refreshes me and is my go to. However, think about your partner and what they would like for their own self care day. For example
Massage
Mani/Pedi
Hair Appointment
A new book
Time to binge watch a show
Hang out with friends
All of these things need to be Kid(s) Free! Let your significant other relax and recharge, they will come back feeling refreshed and ready to tackle motherhood like the bad ass that she is.
Work Out Obsessed
Does your signifcant other count going to the gym as a hot date? If so, try out something new and different than your usual gym routine. Try out a new workout class together such as rock climbing, spinning, yoga etc.
If you got the cash for it then hook up your Boo up with some new work out gear.
Valentine’s Day is all about showing your loved one appreciation and affection, which doesn’t need to come gift wrapped. I hope you spend V-Day with someone you love and enjoy each other to the fullest.

Life has been very interesting lately. I’m officially 9 months pregnant and booooyyyyy can I feel it! Baby girl is feeling heavier everyday and I’ve mastered waddle walking. I am constantly tired, hungry and out of breath, however my husband and I are VERY excited to have baby girl with us soon. Nesting mode is on and it’s crunch time to finish baby girl’s nursery, get our hospital bag together before she decides to makes her grand entrance. I want to get as many blog post ready before I go into labor, so would you guys like to see some maternity blog posts like a nursery tour or what’s in my hospital bag? Let me know in the comment section.
Onto the Daily Look, which is very much my style and I can’t wait to finally start dressing more like myself. What makes this outfit are the accessories, the layered gold jewelry makes the simple graphic tee shirt a little more lux. As well the snake skin booties are very trendy and amp up the look. Instead of going with a neutral bag color like black or brown, which would look great with the booties, I went with this green pop of color. The whole outfit is pretty neutral with tan/brown tones, so adding a pop of color makes everything look fresh and interesting. This outfit is very Getting-Brunch-With-The-Girls-In-Down-Town-LA vibes on a sunny 70 degree day, don’t you agree?
Don’t forget styling is half of the magic behind a great look, so tucking in the graphic tee will make it look less frumpy and more fashion.
I hope everyone’s February is better than their January, and don’t forget to follow me on all my social medias for everyday nonsense, inspo and laughs.
